One person was injured in a Russian attack on Kyiv that struck non-residential buildings in the Solomianskyi and Podilskyi districts, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said. In Solomianskyi, a strike on a non-residential building destroyed its roof and ignited a fire that engulfed the structure, while a separate hit set open ground ablaze. In Podilskyi, a six-story non-residential building caught fire on its first and second floors. Emergency responders extinguished all three fires completely, and the service did not disclose the type of weapon used.
The attack continues a pattern of strikes targeting the capital’s infrastructure. In late September, a strike near a maternity hospital in Podilskyi killed one person on a parking lot and damaged a clinical diagnostic center. Days earlier, a broader assault across multiple districts left two dead and at least eight injured, with warehouse fires in Solomianskyi and vehicle destruction in Podilskyi. An early September barrage injured six and forced rescuers to save 13 people from damaged buildings across at least five districts. Emergency services continue to respond to repeated damage in these areas, where non-residential and civilian sites have been repeatedly hit.
