Kyiv Adjusts Trolleybus Routes 16 and 35 for September 27 Road Repairs

Kyiv's trolleybus routes 16 and 35 will operate on modified paths on September 27 while crews conduct repairs on Yuriy Illenka Street, city transport authorities announced. The temporary routing takes effect at 8:00 and is expected to last until approximately 18:00, or until the repair work concludes.

Beginning from Mrii Street and Svobody Avenue, trolleybuses will follow their standard routes to Akademika Shchuseva Street. From there, vehicles will divert onto Maksyma Berlinskoho Street — with reverse-direction traffic using Vavilovykh Street — before proceeding along Rizka Street, Dorohozhytska Street, and Yuriy Illenka Street to rejoin their regular itineraries.

The rerouting affects two key east-west corridors serving Kyiv's right-bank neighborhoods. Route 16 connects the Darnytsia district with central Kyiv, while Route 35 links the Obolon area with the city center. Both lines carry significant commuter traffic during peak hours.

Passengers are advised to plan for potential delays and monitor official Kyivpastrans channels for real-time updates. The repair work on Yuriy Illenka Street forms part of the city's ongoing infrastructure maintenance program ahead of winter.
