A special police operation is under way in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, to detain an armed criminal after gunfire was reported in the Sviatoshynskyi district this morning, according to local law-enforcement channels.
Authorities received the shooting report early today. One person is known to have been injured and is receiving medical assistance, officials said.
