Former Ukrainian President Poroshenko Meets Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski in Kyiv

Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko met with Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski in Kyiv yesterday to discuss the current stage of the war, prospects for a comprehensive and unconditional ceasefire, and the urgent need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense before winter. The two officials focused on securing sufficient missiles to protect cities, energy facilities, and other critical infrastructure from continued Russian strikes.

The encounter follows Sikorski’s unannounced arrival in the Ukrainian capital earlier this week, a visit that coincided with an announcement by Poland’s defence minister of a new military aid package that includes air‑defence systems.
