Enemy Attack on Kyiv Injures Six, Rescuers Save 13 — SES

Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said an enemy attack on Kyiv left at least six people injured and rescue crews saved 13 others from damaged buildings. Emergency workers are still verifying casualty information and continuing operations across the capital.

In the Holosiivskyi district, a strike hit a 26-storey non-residential building at the 23rd floor, destroying structures without igniting a wider fire. At another location there, a garage fire spread to a nearby non-residential building and business centre; rescuers pulled one injured person from the site. A blast wave also trapped two people inside a flat in a 16-storey apartment block, whom emergency workers led outside.

In the Solomianskyi district, 10 people were freed from a five-storey residential building; one person had already been hospitalised before SES units arrived.

Fires were also reported in Darnytskyi, Podilskyi and Dniprovskyi districts, including a 15-square-metre garage blaze, a warehouse fire, and burning cars and garage boxes. The latest damage comes after Podilskyi was hit by falling debris in late August, when a kindergarten and a non-residential building were damaged and three people were injured. Firefighting and rescue work continue.
