Kyiv Hit by Multiple Strikes on September 28, Three Injured Including Two Teenagers

Russian forces struck multiple locations in Kyiv early on September 28, hitting two gas stations and an office building, city officials reported. The attacks triggered fires and left three people injured, all in the Podilskyi district.

In the Obolon district, a strike hit an OKKO fuel station, causing a fire. The Shevchenkivskyi district suffered a hit on an office building, while in Holosiivskyi district, a Ukrnafta gas station and a nearby cafe were struck. Emergency services responded to all three sites.

According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, three civilians were injured since the start of the day. Two victims — a 15-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl — received medical treatment at the scene. A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized for further care. Air raid alerts sounded across the capital during the morning hours, and authorities have not specified the weapon type used.

The strikes continue a pattern of intensified Russian long-range attacks on Ukrainian energy and civilian infrastructure this month. On September 24, a strike killed two people and injured at least eight. A drone barrage on September 25 across four districts wounded at least 20. An earlier barrage on September 8 left 23 injured and five dead across multiple districts, with strikes occurring during a lower-tier "yellow" air-raid alert that did not require sheltering.
