Four injured in overnight Russian attack on Kyiv, says State Emergency Service

Four people were injured in an overnight Russian attack on Kyiv, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported. The strikes affected multiple districts of the capital, igniting fires and causing structural damage.

In the Podilskyi district, a non‑residential building was hit, triggering a fire that partially destroyed its roof. A follow‑up strike sent a blast wave that shattered windows in a nearby residential building. In the Holosiivskyi district, an unmanned aerial vehicle struck a private two‑storey house, leaving one person wounded. Fires also broke out in office buildings in the Pecherskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts, where emergency crews are working to extinguish the blazes and assess damage.

The latest assault follows a pattern of intensified Russian aerial attacks on Kyiv this month. On September 24, a strike killed two people and injured at least eight. A day later, a drone barrage across four districts — including Pecherskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Podilskyi — wounded at least 20. Earlier in September, another barrage left 23 injured and five dead. Rescue services continue to document the consequences of the ongoing campaign against the capital’s urban infrastructure.
