At least 20 people were injured in Kyiv after a Russian drone attack struck the capital, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported. Police confirmed damage in four districts: Pechersk, Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Podilskyi.
In Pechersk, a UAV hit a 16-story residential building, and the blast wave damaged three neighboring residential towers and a parked car. In Solomianskyi, debris from a downed drone struck a business center and a shopping mall, injuring a 22-year-old security guard. In Shevchenkivskyi, a drone hit an administrative building, while a medical center, a non-residential structure, and parked vehicles also sustained damage. In Podilskyi, a non-residential building was damaged.
The attack follows a series of Russian strikes on Kyiv this month. On September 24, a strike killed two people and injured at least eight, while an early September barrage left 23 injured and five dead across multiple districts. Emergency crews are working at all impact sites, and no fatalities have been reported from the latest incident.
