The strikes intensified through the month. Weekly totals stood at 38 in the first week, 20 in the second, 29 in the third, and 43 in the fourth, showing a rising tempo that peaked in the final week.
Geographically, the assaults stretched across southern, eastern, central, and northern Ukraine, hitting Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipro, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Poltava.
The broad targeting pattern points to a coordinated effort against power generation, transmission, and distribution systems nationwide. The sustained strikes on critical energy assets heighten concerns over electricity and heating supplies in the months ahead. The campaign came as Kyiv faced nearly 40 hours of enemy drone attacks through August 28, with 21 air-raid alerts and damage to at least 18 warehouses as well as homes and vehicles, underscoring the widening pressure on civilian infrastructure.
