The phased rollout will see the first stage cover key crossings in the central district, where at 9:00 a.m. all signals will simultaneously turn red for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists, holding the stop for exactly one minute before returning to normal operation at 9:01 a.m. The mode, designated «Усім червоний», is intended to ensure a complete standstill during the minute of silence.
In conjunction with the traffic light pause, all ground public transport — buses, trams, and trolleybuses — will also halt for the duration of the minute of silence, ensuring a citywide cessation of movement.
The measure will be suspended during air raid alerts, when standard emergency protocols take precedence over the commemorative pause, officials noted.
