Kyiv Green Line Metro to Resume Normal Service Across Southern Bridge from Sept. 10

Kyiv's Green Line metro will resume normal service across the Southern Bridge starting September 10, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration. The announcement follows a period of adjusted operations due to security conditions.

Today, during a yellow air raid alert level, trains are conducting test runs carrying passengers between the right and left banks of the Dnipro River. This trial phase allows authorities to assess the viability of full service restoration.

If a red alert level is declared, the surface section across the bridge will be closed immediately. In that scenario, metro service will split into two separate segments: Syrets to Vydubychi on the right bank, and Osokorky to Chervony Khutir on the left bank.

This operational regime becomes permanent from September 10. The arrangement reflects ongoing security considerations for the city's transit infrastructure amid wartime conditions, balancing civilian mobility with protective measures.
