Starting September 3, transit freight vehicles will be allowed to move through Kyiv without restrictions during the curfew, the Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA) has announced.
The updated rules take effect at 00:00 on September 3. Transit trucks will therefore be able to pass through the capital at night without the movement limits that previously applied. In parallel, the city will impose new restrictions on heavy goods vehicles entering Kyiv during the busiest road-use periods. Trucks with a total mass exceeding 4.5 tonnes will be prohibited from entering the city from 06:00 to 10:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. Vehicles carrying food products and drinking water are exempt.
Officials said the dual change is intended to keep transit cargo flowing while easing rush-hour congestion on Kyiv’s streets. Logistics companies and drivers should check the updated schedule, because the morning and evening entry bans apply daily to all covered vehicles except those transporting essential supplies. Violations could result in penalties under the city’s traffic enforcement rules.
