Xiaomi unveils first hybrid crossover Skynomad N70 with 1,461 km range

Xiaomi has unveiled its first hybrid passenger vehicle, the Skynomad N70 crossover, combining a battery-electric drivetrain with a gasoline range extender for a total range of up to 1,461 km. The five-seat model is built around a gasoline-powered generator that keeps the battery charged, and it is being launched in China before the end of the year, with first deliveries expected in October.

In pure-electric mode, the crossover can travel up to 505 km. The gasoline generator recharges the battery to extend the vehicle's reach on longer trips. Xiaomi says the flagship all-wheel-drive version is rated at 416 hp and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.

In China, the Skynomad N70 starts at $31,300. The 1,461 km total range combines the 505 km battery-only capability with the additional distance provided by the range extender, and the October rollout will mark Xiaomi's first entry into the hybrid automotive segment.
