Kyiv Will Feel Russian 'Responses' to Strikes 'Daily and Every Night,' Peskov Says

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has warned that Kyiv will continue to face Russian retaliation for Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory "daily and every night," and that such attacks will not change the course of fighting.

In comments reported from Moscow, Peskov said Ukraine's strikes do not affect "the dynamic that everyone observes on the fronts." He described the attacks as further proof of "the essence of the Kyiv regime" and invoked a warning previously delivered by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"You yourselves opened Pandora's box — now receive the response," Peskov said, quoting Putin. "Responses in Kyiv are felt daily, every night, and will continue to be felt."

The statement positions Russia's ongoing strikes against the Ukrainian capital as a direct answer to Kyiv's cross-border operations, while signaling that the Kremlin does not view such Ukrainian attacks as altering battlefield momentum. Peskov's remarks suggest Moscow intends to keep up, rather than reduce, its strikes against the capital.
