The Maksym Rylskyi Museum: A Quiet Literary Corner of Kyiv

The Maksym Rylskyi Museum invites visitors into the quiet world of the Ukrainian poet at 7 Maksym Rylskyi Street in Kyiv. The museum occupies the estate where Rylskyi lived during the last 13 years of his life, preserving his personal belongings, books, and manuscripts inside the house.

Adjacent to the residence lies a peaceful memorial garden planted with rare species and centered on a fountain installed in 1952. The grounds are open to the public Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00, while the ticket office stops selling tickets at 17:00. The museum is closed on Mondays.

Admission is free on the last Sunday of every month. The last Friday of each month is designated as a sanitary day, when the museum is closed for cleaning. Entry to the grounds, including the memorial garden, costs 10 hryvnias. A full ticket for adults is priced at 50 hryvnias, and discounted admission for schoolchildren, students, and pensioners is 40 hryvnias.
