Kyiv Museums to Offer Free Admission at End of August

Several museums in Kyiv will waive admission fees on separate days at the end of August to mark Ukraine's Independence Day.

On August 25, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War will open its exhibitions to the public free of charge. The museum, which documents Ukraine's experience during the Second World War, is located at 27 Lavrska Street.

On August 26, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine will offer free admission at its main site, 2 Volodymyrska Street. The museum holds collections covering the country's history from ancient times through the modern period.

Three additional venues will participate on August 27: the Museum of Mykhailo Hrushevsky at 9 Pankivska Street, the Sadyba na Kudriavtsi museum at 9 Kudriavska Street, and the House-Museum of Taras Shevchenko at 8a Shevchenko Lane. These smaller institutions focus on prominent Ukrainian figures and historic residences in the capital.

Each museum's free-admission day is assigned separately, so visitors should confirm the specific date, address, and any current entry requirements before planning their visit.
