The agency said 17 converted S-400 launcher systems are on standby in Bryansk Oblast and Rostov Oblast, indicating preparations to support the missile campaign from positions near Ukraine’s northern and eastern borders.
GUR linked the anticipated increase in RM-48U use to two factors: the missiles are cheaper than Russia’s Iskander-M system, and Moscow has a substantial reserve of them.
