Kyiv City Express has introduced enhanced control measures for ring railway trains, requiring bridge entry only when no enemy targets are detected within a defined radius, with trains held at stations if threats appear.
Kyiv City Express announced that trains on the Kyiv Ring Railway are now operating under an enhanced control regime following recent strikes on railway bridges. The new protocol permits electric trains to enter bridges only when no hostile targets are detected within a specified radius.
If enemy targets are identified, trains will be held at stations before bridge approaches. Movement across a bridge will be authorized only if the train can clear the structure before the projected intersection of its trajectory with that of an incoming drone.
In the event of an evacuation, designated shelters along the route include the metro stations Vydubychi, Syrets, Sviatoshyn, Beresteiska, and Vokzalna, as well as underground passages at Darnytsia and Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi. Navigation signs directing passengers to the nearest shelter have been installed at every station.
Kyiv City Express stressed that passengers must exit railway infrastructure as quickly as possible, maintaining a minimum distance of 200 meters from train cars, which corresponds to the debris scatter radius in case of a strike.
