Germany Allocates Over €1.3 Billion to Ukraine for Weapons and Energy

Published Updated

Germany will provide Ukraine with more than €1.3 billion for long-range weapons, combat drones, satellite equipment, joint interceptor production, and energy infrastructure repair.

Germany has committed more than €1.3 billion in fresh assistance to Ukraine, split between military capabilities and energy infrastructure, under a series of agreements finalized today. The funding will cover long-range weaponry, combat drones, satellite systems, and the joint manufacturing of interceptors designed to counter jet-powered drones. German official Merz indicated that the new strike assets are expected to enter serial production quickly. Roughly €350 million of the package is designated for the energy sector, including generators, transformers, and equipment to repair war-damaged power facilities.

President Volodymyr Zelensky added that Ukraine plans to field its own small anti-drone missiles by the end of October. In total, the two sides signed 15 accords and documents valued at over €8.5 billion, a figure that includes the new German pledge and other cooperative projects.

The allies also agreed to convene a “coalition of the willing” meeting in Berlin this winter, bringing together Germany, France, and the United Kingdom to further synchronize support for Kyiv. The gathering is intended to deepen coordination among the three European powers as the war enters its next phase.
