Apple has rolled out iOS 27 to all compatible iPhones, introducing finer transparency controls, a system equalizer for AirPods, faster file system performance, new Photos perspective tools, menstrual cycle tracking in Calendar, smarter Wi-Fi, expanded parental controls, and a significantly upgraded Siri moving toward AI-agent capabilities.
Apple has released iOS 27 to all compatible iPhone users, delivering a broad set of refinements and new capabilities across the mobile operating system. The update rolls out globally starting today for devices from the iPhone 11 series onward.
The release introduces more granular controls for the system's frosted-glass transparency effects, allowing users to fine-tune the visual intensity of blur and translucency throughout the interface. Audio gains a built-in equalizer for AirPods, while under-the-hood improvements include a faster file system and a more responsive Spotlight search. In Photos, new perspective adjustment tools let users correct spatial distortion, and the home screen receives a refreshed set of application icons.
Health features expand with native menstrual cycle tracking integrated directly into the Calendar app. Connectivity sees smarter Wi-Fi network selection logic. Siri receives its most substantial upgrade yet as Apple incrementally reshapes the assistant into a more autonomous AI agent. Parental controls have also been broadened with additional restriction and monitoring options.
The software update is available now via Settings > General > Software Update on eligible devices, which include the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, and all subsequent models.
