Analyst Debunks Fake Claim of 3,000 Russian Drones Targeting Western Ukraine

Ukrainian analyst Anatoliy Amelin debunked a viral Telegram claim that Russia plans to launch 3,000 non‑jet drones against western Ukraine within 24 hours, calling it a deliberate disinformation operation.

The post coincided with real drone incursions toward Lutsk, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, and Volyn as civilians sheltered. Amelin says this is a classic information‑psychological operation timed to maximize panic. He urges reporting the channel to the SBU, unsubscribing, not reposting, and trusting only official Air Force and General Staff summaries.

The threat is real and daily, but preserving nerves is essential for the long haul.
