Ukrainian Embassy Advises Citizens in Poland on How to Respond to Attacks or Threats

Ukrainian diplomatic missions in Poland have issued practical safety guidance for citizens of Ukraine living in or visiting the country, explaining the steps they should take if they become victims of a physical attack or face threats.

The embassy's main recommendation is not to leave such incidents without a response, the diplomatic mission said. Anyone who experiences violence, threats, or intimidation should first move to a safe place and ensure their personal safety. They should then contact the Polish police, properly document the offense, and notify a Ukrainian consular office about what happened.

The mission emphasized that timely reporting helps ensure each case is officially recorded and enables consular staff to respond and provide assistance to the victim. Contact details for the relevant consular institutions are available through the embassy's official communication channels and should be used when seeking help, it added.

The guidance reflects the consular service's focus on protecting Ukrainian nationals in Poland and its readiness to respond when citizens face aggression, threats, or other dangerous situations abroad.
