The State Migration Service announced that men of conscription age residing abroad can receive already manufactured passports only upon presenting valid military registration documents, with verification also possible through the Reserve+ digital platform.
Ukraine's State Migration Service (SMS) has mandated that men of conscription age living abroad must present a valid military registration document to collect already manufactured passports. The policy, announced via the agency's official channels, applies specifically to passport documents that have already been produced and are awaiting issuance.
Applicants can confirm their military registration status either through physical documentation or via the Reserve+ digital platform, which contains relevant military accounting data. The requirement reflects Kyiv's ongoing efforts to maintain accurate military records amid general mobilization.
Concurrently, the SMS stated it aims to fully restore its information systems by the end of October 2. The agency confirmed that the electronic queue for services will be migrated with applicants' places preserved, eliminating the need for re-registration. The technical restoration follows disruptions that had affected consular and migration services for Ukrainians abroad.
