Russian forces press multiple points near Kupyansk, entrench in western Kurilivka

Russian units are continuing pressure along several points of the Kupyansk sector, pushing toward Novoosynove and Kovsharivka and trying to establish positions in eastern Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi. Over the past two months they have failed to secure a foothold in Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi after Ukrainian troops intercepted small-group raids, but they have managed to dig in inside western Kurilivka and continue attacking westward.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian forces are pressing along several parts of the frontline, according to battlefield reports. Their immediate objectives include pushing toward the villages of Novoosynove and Kovsharivka, as well as establishing positions inside the eastern part of Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi.

Over the past two months, however, Russian units have failed to secure a lasting foothold in Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi. Ukrainian troops have detected small enemy assault groups early and suppressed them with concentrated fire, preventing the attackers from consolidating and helping stabilize the situation around the settlement.

By contrast, Russian forces have made more progress in Kurilivka, where they have managed to entrench themselves in the western part of the village. They are using that ground to continue pushing attacks farther west.

The reports underscore that the Kupyansk axis remains one of the more active segments of the front, with Russian forces repeatedly testing Ukrainian defenses across several settlements at once. Ukrainian commanders appear to be relying on rapid identification of probing assaults to stop small infiltrations from turning into larger breaches.
