Russian Forces Make Limited Gains Near Mykolaivka on Kostiantynivka Axis

Russian forces have made limited gains near Mykolaivka, west of Chasiv Yar, on the Kostiantynivka axis, attempting to expand a bridgehead and create an additional threat to the northern flank of Kostiantynivka with the aim of cutting Ukrainian supply lines.

At the same time, Russian units continue heavy assaults in the areas of Chervone and Izhivka and are pushing steadily toward Stinok, seeking to bypass key Ukrainian defensive positions, stretch Ukrainian forces, and reach more advantageous lines for further advance.

The Russians are employing small infantry groups to probe for gaps between Ukrainian units, but Ukrainian defenders are maintaining control of the situation, saturating the attackers with artillery fire and drone strikes, and reportedly neutralizing successive assault groups. Ukrainian command is reinforcing the sector to contain the incursion and prevent a breakthrough that could compromise logistics along the Kostiantynivka–Chasiv Yar corridor.

The renewed pressure follows a sharp decline in Russian offensive activity around Kostiantynivka reported in early September, though earlier in the month Russian forces had intensified infantry probes on the western flank near Mykolaivka and Chervone. Ukrainian forces continue to hold their positions along the entire contact line.
