Ukrainian pawnshops and non-bank financial companies earned record profits in the first half of 2026, with the eOseli operator Ukrfinzhytlo accounting for more than half of finance-company net profit.

Ukrainian pawnshops and non-bank financial companies delivered record earnings in the first half of 2026, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) reported. The figures reflect a sharp expansion in non-bank lending during the period.

Non-bank financial companies earned UAH 8 billion in net profit over the six months from January through June 2026. More than half of that amount was generated by Ukrfinzhytlo, the operator of the eOseli service, making the company the largest single contributor to sector profits.

Pawnshops also set a record for profitability, according to the central bank. In the second quarter of 2026, the volume of new pawnshop loans rose by 21% compared with the same period last year, while the sector's total assets increased by 10.6%.

The results underscore the growing scale of non-bank lending in Ukraine and point to continued strong demand for pawnshop and consumer credit products heading into the second half of 2026.
