More than 600 Ukrainian IT companies operate in Poland: hiring costs 20% higher

More than 600 Ukrainian IT companies now operate in Poland, turning the country into the principal relocation hub for Ukraine's tech sector since the start of the full-scale war. The expansion was especially rapid in 2022 and 2023, when over 400 Ukrainian IT firms opened there, a figure that represents the majority of the more than 600 companies now active in Poland.

Ukrainians in Poland account for roughly 5% of all jobs created in the country. Their contribution to Poland's gross domestic product is projected to reach 3.2% by 2030, according to the reported estimates.

Survey data indicate that Poland hosted 39% of Ukrainian IT professionals who left the country abroad in 2025. That share underscores Poland's importance as a destination for Ukrainian tech workers after the full-scale invasion.

The influx has also affected the Polish labor market, where recruitment costs in the sector are reported to be 20% higher.
