MG has unveiled the MG 07 electric sedan in China, positioning the battery-powered four-door as an affordable rival to the Porsche Taycan. The company claims the EV can deliver a range of up to 845 km on a single charge, a figure that would place it near the top of its class for electric driving distance.
The MG 07 is equipped with frameless doors, an active rear spoiler, LiDAR-assisted advanced-driver-assistance hardware, and "weightless" seats. The sedan also supports 5C fast charging, a standard designed to dramatically shorten charging times. In addition to the battery-electric model, MG will offer a hybrid version.
In China, the MG 07 will start at roughly $15,600, while the most expensive trim is priced at about $23,500. That aggressive price structure supports the original post's framing of the MG 07 as a sharply priced Chinese alternative to premium European performance sedans such as the Porsche Taycan. The post did not specify a launch date or export plans.
