Kyivstar Raises Tariffs for Several LOVE UA Plans

Kyivstar, Ukraine's largest mobile operator, will increase prices for four LOVE UA tariff plans starting October 8, 2024, attributing the move to higher network maintenance and restoration expenses.

The adjustments affect LOVE UA Freedom, which rises from 190 to 250 hryvnias; LOVE UA Base, from 200 to 250 hryvnias; LOVE UA World, from 260 to 310 hryvnias; and LOVE UA World with the "Economy" superpower, from 200 to 250 hryvnias.

The company said the changes apply only to a portion of subscribers and reflect increased costs for network upkeep and recovery amid ongoing infrastructure challenges. Customers can verify their current plan pricing via the "My Kyivstar" mobile application.

Kyivstar, a subsidiary of VEON Ltd., serves over 25 million subscribers in Ukraine. The tariff revision follows a period of significant network damage due to military actions, which has driven up operational expenditures across the telecommunications sector.

The operator did not specify whether further price changes are planned for other packages. Subscribers are encouraged to review their options in the app or contact customer service for assistance.
