Former Defense Minister Fedorov Becomes Adviser to Italian Defense Minister Crosetto on Defense Innovations

Former Defense Minister Fedorov has been appointed as an adviser to Italian Defense Minister Crosetto on defense innovations.

"In this role, I will help Italy develop modern warfare technologies, improve the defense sector, and adapt to the new security challenges of the world," he wrote.

At the same time, Fedorov stressed that his main focus remains unchanged and that he "will continue to work in Ukraine on projects that strengthen our defense and help attract international resources."

The appointment comes as European allies reassess their defense capabilities amid evolving global security threats. It links Ukrainian battlefield and technological experience with Italy's push to modernize its armed forces and defense industrial base. Fedorov's dual commitment indicates the advisory position will serve as a channel for transferring innovation expertise while helping Ukraine secure international resources and support for its defense priorities.
